Pink is a beautiful, charming colour that complements almost any space, introducing warmth and comfort into the home. The palette encompasses sweet peachy hues, alluring dusky pinks and red ochre-based neutrals that feel natural and soothing.

1. Pink kitchens and bathrooms

“Often filled with hard white surfaces, bathrooms and kitchens benefit from the addition of colours with warmth and character. Pink is a fantastically versatile colour which will bring a sense of playfulness and softness to these environments. Incorporating colour on every surface will create a confident, all-encompassed feel to really elevate the space.

‘Double Drenching’ means using two or more related colours with varying undertones on every paintable surface. Pinks in different hues work well together to create an inviting atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and calming. Pair the dusky pink, Hellebore, with the rosy Blush on furniture or woodwork for a delicate contrast .

There is no room for white woodwork or skirting in a ‘Double Drenching’ scheme. Instead, consider using a softer colour such as the subtle pink, China Clay. This gentle shade will act as a white, whilst maintaining the all-over, double-drenched effect.”

2. Soothing, pink-based neutrals

“It has never been more important to create areas that support restoration and wellbeing in our homes. Soft, earthy neutrals can play a vital role in shaping these restful environments. Gentle on the eye, these shades bring a sense of calm. They soften architectural lines and create a balanced, harmonious backdrop to restore and renew.

“The beauty of wallpaper is that there are so many different colour, design and style options available. There really is a pattern for every situation.

Many people are becoming more confident in their use of wallpaper, opting for vivid colours and large-scale, flamboyant patterns. But there is also a place for more neutral designs and small-scale prints which bring an entirely different mood to an interior.

A stylised floral wallpaper such as ‘Spring Flowers’ has universal appeal, serving as a timeless and elegant backdrop to a range of interior schemes. Gentle pink colourways in these designs feel very soothing and comforting. They exude warmth in bedrooms and quiet reading nooks, providing a sense of sanctuary and relaxation.”

4. Combine paint and wallpaper

“Large-scale wallpapers can be a daunting prospect. If you are looking for a way to add large-scale pattern without feeling overwhelmed, consider a tonal design in an inviting, soft pink colourway. Wallpapers such as Poppy Trail – Masquerade or Mosaic Trail – Blush will behave much like paint on the wall. They create a backdrop of beautiful, muted pink colour, but with the added interest of texture and pattern too.

These wallpapers are endlessly versatile and easy to use on all four walls. Frame your wallpaper in the deepest or darkest colour from the design on the ceiling and woodwork to achieve an enveloping, colour-drenched interior.

For a more pared-back approach, consider painting your woodwork in the base colour of your wallpaper. This will give a considered flow of colour throughout your space. Alternatively, painting the woodwork in a contrasting colour will deliver real impact. This is a great way of incorporating a colour that may feel overwhelming when used in a large expanse but works brilliantly as a highlight.”

“Often reserved for bedrooms, soft pinks are an inviting, charming colour to use in living spaces and dining rooms. They provide a warm, elegant atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing and entertaining.

For a refined and creative scheme, consider combining your chosen pink with a pop of contrasting colour. A delightful, pretty yellow like Light Gold will bring a surprising design detail to a pink-hued space. It provides a beautiful highlight on a window frame or door.

Alternatively, consider how different spaces could interact with each other to create a surprising combination of colours throughout the home. By choosing muted variations of two contrasting shades in similar strengths, you can create a scheme that feels balanced, connected and sophisticated.
