How to Use Floor Paint: Application Advice

Before reimagining your hardwood floors, it’s important to prepare the surface correctly.

  1. Clean the floor completely and allow it to dry. Avoid using chemical cleaners if possible.
  2. Seal soft wood flooring with a coat of Aluminium Wood Primer. This will prevent staining.
  3. Apply one coat of Intelligent ASP (All Surface Primer). Thin the paint to allow maximum absorbency into the wooden surface.
  4. Paint two coats of Intelligent Floor Paint in your selected shade.
